we're a little coffeehouse with a big dream.

in 1500, a time before coffee, people of different backgrounds, classes, and social groups had no place to mingle. the coffeehouse became a spot for people to freely share stories, discover new ideas, challenge norms, and discuss social issues. 

​

it is no surprise that the gathering of people over cups of a newfound liquid fuel led to social change around the world. where coffeehouses arose, movements were soon to follow.

​

today, we are more aware than ever of the seemingly unending list of change this world needs to see. we all agree the world needs to change – so why hasn’t it? a part of the problem is that we have put the burden of solving our world’s largest problems on the backs of our non-profits and charities while (unintentionally) taking away the very resources they need to do just that.

​

so, it’s time to take change into our own hands (or mugs)!

our coffeehouse is a place to gather and question the systems we navigate, like the ones which prevent charities and non-profits from fulfilling their missions. it is a place to push forward a new movement: a movement which supports the people and organizations that make our world a better place.

​

by changing the way we think about charity and non-profit spending, we believe we can create real and lasting change.
